Spider potting is the first potting compound to incorporate the urethane durability, elongation and flexibility of zero isocyanate Uramine™ hardeners with the exceptional adhesion, temperature resistance and chemical resistance of zero BPA/F Spider Resin™ epoxides. Spider Potting compounds are electronic-grade, thermally conductive, self-extinguishing and flame retardant. Spider Potting protects and insulates different types of electronics from shock, vibration, heat, cold, moisture and corrosive agents.

Spider Potting Property Advantages

Spider potting compounds, when combined with Uramine 4761™, have urethane durability and flexibility built into the chemistry, the strong chemical and heat resistance of an epoxy and a lower exotherm than standard BPA/F Epoxides.

Spider Potting Exotherm = <50 °C vs. Standard Epoxy Potting Exotherm = 100-160 °C

Spider Potting compounds also have very low toxicity. While standard polyurethane based potting compounds use toxic isocyanate based curing agents, Spider Potting uses zero isocyanates. And where standard epoxy based potting compounds use BPA or BPF based epoxies that are considered hormone disruptors for humans, Spider potting compounds use zero BPA/F epoxies. Many potting compounds also use harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while Spider Potting uses zero VOCs.
